Shortcuts

Here are must-have skills for anyone using a computer. I put together some of my favorite shortcuts…

Ctrl + F5 to reload web page without cache history! Pressing the F5 key alone does not guarantee your changes will take affect, as your browser is still hanging on to items still cached.

Press the Space Bar to pause videos on YouTube; then press again to resume.

Press J on keyboard to move back 10 seconds in YouTube video; press L to advance 10 seconds.

Ctrl + 0 to force view on monitor to 100%, and then Ctrl + Plus to zoom in, and Ctrl + Minus to zoom out.

Ctrl + C to copy text, and Ctrl + V to paste text.

Ctrl + S to save an updated file.

While viewing a web page, if you want to return to the very top of the page, press Ctrl + Home. To go to the bottom of the loaded content, press Ctrl + End. After web page fully loads, press Ctrl + End again, and it will go to the bottom again. To get back, press Ctrl + Home.

Windows + shift + s = snipping tool to take screen shots on your PC monitor.

Windows + h = dictation to type using your voice

Windows + g = game bar; then click on capture & record using your screen

Windows + ctrl + shift + esc = task manager to end tasks

Windows + arrow keys to snap windows around on your monitor

It’s not that I’m lazy; I’m just not interested enough to assert myself!
